1. Purpose
This Cookie Policy explains how the Hoslift website at hoslift.com ("Website") uses cookies and similar browser technologies. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website or service provider may place on a device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and scripts that store information on a device or recognise a browser.
3. Technologies Used on the Website
The Website uses a necessary local-storage record named hoslift-cookie-preferences-v1 to remember whether a visitor allowed Analytics and Functional technologies. This record contains the selected category settings and does not contain the visitor's name, contact details or message content.
Optional technologies remain disabled until the visitor allows the relevant category.

Google advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain denied. Hoslift does not currently enable advertising or remarketing tags through this Website.
4. Consent and Controls
On the first visit, the Website offers these choices:
- Accept All, which enables Analytics and Functional technologies;
- Reject Non-Essential, which leaves both optional categories disabled; and
- Save Preferences, which applies the visitor's individual category selections.
A visitor may review, change or withdraw a choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the Website footer. Rejecting or withdrawing optional consent does not prevent access to the main Website content, although live chat will not load without Functional consent.
5. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
When Analytics consent is granted, Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager may process information about Website use. Depending on the request and Google's operation, this may include truncated or otherwise processed IP information, device and browser information, requested pages, referral information, interaction events, approximate location and timestamps.
Hoslift configures analytics to load only after Analytics consent. The Website does not intentionally send passwords, secret keys, payment credentials or the content entered into enquiry forms to Google Analytics.
Google may process analytics data using infrastructure outside Sri Lanka. Google's own terms and privacy information also apply to its independent processing.
6. Chatway
When Functional consent is granted, the Website loads Chatway to provide live chat. Chatway may receive technical request information and information a visitor chooses to submit in the chat interface. Visitors should not include passwords, secret keys, payment credentials or information they are not authorised to share.
7. Hosting, Security and Server Logs
The Website's hosting and network providers may automatically receive technical information needed to transmit, secure and troubleshoot a request. This server-side processing may occur regardless of optional browser consent where it is necessary to deliver and protect the Website.
8. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies and clear local site data. Clearing site data may remove the saved preference, causing the Website to ask again. Browser settings do not replace the Website's category controls.
9. Changes to This Policy
Hoslift may update this Policy when Website technology, providers, legal requirements or processing practices change. The current version and Last Updated date will be published on this page.
