Do I need a complete specification before contacting Hoslift?
No. You can begin with a goal, problem, workflow, or early idea. Discovery can help turn it into clearer requirements and next steps.
How do I start a project?
Use the Start a Project page to prepare the relevant context. A project enquiry is a request for evaluation; it is not automatic acceptance, a quotation, or a contract.
Can Hoslift work with an existing internal team?
Potentially. For accepted work, responsibilities for decisions, content, access, technical work, reviews, and approvals are recorded before delivery begins.
Do you work with clients outside Sri Lanka?
Remote projects may be considered where suitable communication, payment, legal, and delivery arrangements can be agreed.
Scope, pricing, and delivery
Do you sell fixed packages?
Not by default. The suitable scope depends on the challenge, required outcomes, constraints, and risks. Any deliverables and fees are defined in writing.
Can a project be delivered in stages?
Yes, where suitable. Phased delivery can focus effort on the most important validated priorities while preserving a maintainable foundation.
Are timelines or outcomes guaranteed?
Only commitments expressly included in the applicable written agreement apply. External outcomes are not guaranteed.
How are project changes handled?
A requested change is reviewed for its effect on scope, cost, timing, dependencies, and risk before it is approved in writing.
What information is needed for a quotation?
We usually need the goal, users, current situation, required outcomes, known constraints, target timing, and any existing systems or content.
Technology, AI, and security
Is Hoslift tied to one platform or technology?
No. Technology is selected according to approved requirements, suitability, maintainability, security, cost, and realistic future needs.
Does Hoslift use AI?
AI-assisted tools may be used where suitable and permitted, with project-appropriate human review and data-handling controls.
Can you guarantee that a system is completely secure?
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Hoslift can apply agreed practices and controls proportionate to the project and its risks.
Who owns project data and accounts?
Ownership, access, hosting, third-party accounts, and handover responsibilities are defined in the applicable agreement and project documentation.
Can you take over an existing website or application?
Potentially. We first review access, source code, infrastructure, dependencies, documentation, security, licensing, and the condition of the current system.
